Hideaway Cottage is a delightful 2 bedroom cottage with one double and one single bedroom, hidden away in one of the historic yards of Penrith. Ideally situated for The North Lakes, The Westmorland Dales, The Eden Valley & The Northern Pennines. A new holiday let for the 2022 season and our guests have said it’s the best cottage they’ve ever stayed in. Although situated in the centre of Penrith you are isolated from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet only a couple of minutes walk to pubs, restaurants and the speciality shops for which Penrith is so famous. Bus station only 3 minutes walk. Train station 10 minutes. Car Parks less than 2 minutes.
Buses run from Penrith to Pooley Bridge, Glenridding, Keswick and Windermere. You can even travel by open top bus and fares are currently capped at only £3.00 per journey.

TOP NOTCH ! "This Cottage has been furnished and kitted out with obvious care and taste by the owners. All the interior and exterior fittings are of best quality. It was a joy to return to every day after fell walking. Spotlessly clean, warm, great shower and bath. Comfy seating in front of the log burner. Very comfortable bed with finest bedding. Located centrally in town but amazingly quiet due to the location at the end of the yard".

"Wow, where do I begin? As soon as we arrived at Hideaway Cottage we knew it was going to be special and it was. So beautifully decorated with exceptional attention to detail. Every piece of furniture and accessory had been carefully chosen creating a stunning cosy welcoming cottage". It is by far the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. Very quiet location but just minutes from the town with a good range of independent shops and a variety of supermarkets.

“Absolutely stunning little cottage. Everything you may need in the cottage is there for you. Super comfy beds, really is home from home. The cottage is at the end of a little yard, so very peaceful and quiet. A car park is conveniently located at the rear of the cottage. Easy access to the town centre with some lovely independent shops and cafes. The cottage was immaculate and beautiful, we cant wait to go back”.

Electric Equipment Testing (EET)
PAT testing is now called Electrical Equipment Testing, as not everything with a plug could be called portable, which has brought in such appliances as built in Fridge Freezer's, Washing Machines & Photo Copiers Etc.
Hideaway Cottage (EET) is different to other companies as we don't have a minimum charge, if you only have ten appliances you will only be charged for ten appliances.
We are a husband and wife team who (as you see) also operate a holiday home for let.
We do EET testing on Holiday Homes to Let, Guest Houses, Offices, Workshops, Musical Equipment for Bands, Craft and Show Stands Etc.
We only charge £1.50 per appliance for up to 22 appliances and £1.00 per appliance thereafter.
We are qualified, professional, fully insured and use the latest calibrated equipment.
